Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students in preschool through high school.
The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from the Bible--II Timothy 2:15.
It is structured similarly to Boy Scouts as a club and encourages both non-churched and congregational children and adults to grow in their relationship with Christ through Bible stories and heavy emphasis on Scripture memorization. The club appeals to children of all ages because of its exciting games, awards system and special events.

One does not need to attend the dinner to go to Awana and vice-versa. Awana clubs meet at 6:30 in the Sanctuary and are over at 8:00 with Sparks and T & T meeting for Closing in the Fellowship Hall, while parents should pick up Cubbies in their Cubbies room..
