Visiting FPC

When you arrive
at FPC for our service, you are invited to let any one that you wish out under our covered drop-off.  Feel free to park wherever you wish.  If you need handicapped parking you will find it beyond the covered drop-off near the building on the North side of the Educational Building and around the other side (South) as well.  Parking on the lower or South side gives easy access to the sanctuary and is closest to the exit doors.

At the front doors, you will usually find people that will be happy to assist you in any way.  If you arrive between 10:15 & 10:40 you're welcome to join us for light refreshments and coffee at the "Gathering Grounds" in our welcome center when you come through the main glass doors.  If you need childcare, (ages 0 - 3) our nursery is through the welcome center and down the hall on your left.  Beyond that you will find restrooms on either side.  And the sanctuary (auditorium for worship) is at the other end of the wide hall.   Halfway through the service, we dismiss the children in grades K4 - 1st Grade to Junior church to Room E-4 in the Educational Building (you may accompany them to see where to pick them up). If your children are shy, they're welcome to stay with you, but most kids really enjoy junior church.  You'll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in anything from traditional church clothes to office casual to jeans and sneakers.   When you come in the sanctuary, you'll be given a copy of the "Bulletin" (worship folder) which has the agenda for the day's service and other helpful information.

The service usually begins at 10:45 a.m. with some music, followed by a welcome and announcements. Then there is a time of community where we greet those around us.  More singing will follow led by the choir and/or worship team. We have a heart for God's children of all ages, so our worship reflects a variety of styles and tastes; including hymns and songs of praise.

We include collecting tithes and offerings as part of our worship and thanksgiving to God. However, as our guest, we want you to feel welcome to let the plate pass.

The message will be based on the Bible, and often includes quotes from contemporary people, songs, or movies. You'll hear solid Christian teaching in intelligent, understandable, relevant terms. A prayer and song will follow the message.

After the service, you'll pick up your kids from the nursery and/or classrooms, and then we hope you'll hang around and meet some people and enjoy fellowship with us. Church is about God and worship, but it is also about community and friendship, so we hope you will genuinely experience warmth and friendliness at FPC Niceville.

Before you leave, make sure you pick up a "welcome mug" (coffee mug with stuff inside), which is our gift in appreciation of your being our guest.  We hope you'll join us this weekend.
